Wow. I’m feeling overwhelmed after today’s class – we learned about all the information, videos, and images that teachers (and others) can access on the web for free .
Open Education resources are open courseware educational materials that are on the web for free and that teachers can use and change for free. This is especially useful for when I’m trying to design a lesson plan.
Some important cites I wish to reference for future:
OER Commons – great for finding things in the classroom
Curriki – lesson plans website
PHET simulations – interactive simulations for the classroom
When citing, it is important for me to remember to put a link, the author’s name (if available)/the username beside the content that I’ve used.
